Uses of Ophthalmic Drugs

Ophthalmic drugs are used for:

  • Increased Sensitivity to Light – Common with pupil-dilating drugs
  • Allergic Reactions – Swelling, itching, or rash
  • Systemic Effects – Rare cases of dizziness, headache, or heart rate changes (e.g., with beta-blocker eye drops)
